Get Engaged

A successful Strategy requires substantial public input. View upcoming engagement opportunities to help shape the Oak Island Coastal Resiliency Strategy and read about past events below.

Interactive Map

This interactive map is an opportunity for you to provide feedback to the Project Team on local assets, issues, and opportunities as they relate to resilience. Let your voice be heard!

Place a pin on the map of Oak Island to identify the following attributes of the Town as they relate to coastal resilience:

  1. Assets: What resources does the Town have to make it an attractive place to live, work, or invest?

  2. Issues: Where are the problem areas for flooding, erosion, and other hazards? What are your current and future concerns?

  3. Opportunities: Where do you see opportunities for increased coastal resilience in the Town?

Additional instructions can be found on the righthand side of the map window.
